70% Merlot / 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
The growing and vinication methods are closely controlled. Grapes are harvested manually and transported in crates to a splendid wooden tank. The grapes are sorted on tables and wine flows into the tanks by gravity. The wines are then mostly aged in new barrels, where they mature for 14 to 18 months.
This approach and the heightened efforts undertaken in the last decade ensure that the wine of Château Clarke continues to improve in quality to reach a degree of success that makes it a leader in its region.
